Mealy Redpoll?

I think it's a Mealy Redpoll. Taken on 12 Jan 14 on the cliffs at Strathy Point on the Pentland Firth coast while photographing the lighthouse there. Big crop plus it was extremely cold and windy so holding camera steady was an issue, hence not very sharp image.

      Mealy redpoll query

      Hi Jackwow
I am the Local Bird Recorder for Highland.
I think it may be a Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll which is much rarer - you should submit it for assessment by British Birds Rarities Committee. Please contact me at [email protected] and I'll forward you a claim form

I think it's a Mealy because the freckling on the chest continues much to high towards the head for a Hornemann's Artic Redpoll and the white bar by the wing is to low also this is just IMO
