Is the gibbon wearing shorts or some kind of diaper? What did you think of this place? The history book (2000) is rather interesting, the facility has been around since the 1930's, but Tim Brown recently visited and was quite disgusted with what he saw. In an email to me he mentioned several aspects of the park that he did not approve of, including a supposedly dreadful lemur exhibit. Do you have a photo of that enclosure? P.S. wow, that is a seriously awful "lemur exhibit"! I really do not understand how zoos of this nature can exist in first-world countries. Just deplorable. And I think the gibbon is wearing diapers.
I was just having a google and found out this place started out as Parrot Jungle which was famous back in its day. I would never have guessed it as the same place.
I've been to that facillity, too-one of the most worse animpal places I'v ever been to.As far as I know, the former Director of San Diego Zoo is now director of that place, but I guess, nothing has changed.Of course, they want to make as much money with the animals as they can get. By the way-the gibbon isn't looking very happy..
The gibbon is wearing a diaper underneath black underwear with a harness & leash attached.
