After a lot of running around on the internet i thought i would set up a page that identifies most if not all of the Amur Leopards within the European breeding programme, their location, birth & ancestry. Please feel free to correct and add any information, as I've created this page to receive information as well as give it

I'm starting with Amur Leopards within British zoos & this is what i've come up with.

Twycross zoo's adult male Diesel was born at Hodenhagen Serengeti Park/Zoo although dont know his actual birth date, i presumme it was 2002 like the female izzy.

I also have quite alot of info regarding Izzy (birth place, D.O.B, parents, parents D.O.B/D.O.D, siblings, siblings current locations) although this probably wont be relevant as she is dead. Her only litter mate, Isabela has recently had a boy cub born in January 2010 and has been named royo.

Twycross zoo's ex-female Izzy...

0.1
Born - 26.5.2002
Birth place - Olomouc Zoo
Parents - Atas (born on 12.7.1996 at Kaunas/Lituania) and Daniel (born 1988 - 13/11/2003 at Phjongjang/North Korea).
Cubs - 2.0 Calvin and Davidoff (born December 2006)
D.O.D - Unsure of, although died about 6 - 8 weeks after the cubs were born.
FULL siblings - (Cubs of Atas with Daniel):

1,0 born on 19.5.2001 was sent to Marwell (Akin)
0,1 born on 19.5.2001 was sent to Helsinki (?)
0,1 born on 26.5.2002 Olomouc zoo, breeding female. (Isabela) (Izzy's litter mate)
0,1 born on 20.10.2003 lives now at Prague (Aja/Bety)

The cubs below were sired by Atas and a male called Edward. So these are some of Izzy's half - siblings.

0,1 born on 12.10.2005 was sent to Novosibirsk
0,1 born on 30.5.2007 was sent to Mulhouse (Elixa)
1,0 born on 30.5.2007 was sent to ?Unsure?

She also has many more half - siblings although im still unsure of these.

Ahh thats great info. Tis tragic that Izzy died so young, but it's excellent to know she has a strong legacy.

Bit of a mix up (my fault) -

The cubs born at Olomouc in 2005 and 2007 were sired by a male called Edward and not Daniel (he died on the 13/11/2003 ). This is also the same "Edward" who bred with Isabela as she currently still lives at Olomouc. So Edward has bred with atas, her daughter Isabela and now her other daughter Aja/bety.

Isabela as i mentioned above has had so far 2 surviving cubs:
22.2.2008 1,0 Chobby - sent to Minnesota/USA
13.1.2010 1,0 Royo

JonnyS18, Amur leopards at Prague Zoo i know of -
0,1: Aja/Bety, born at Olomouc 2003 (Izzy's full sibling).
1,0: Edward, recently moved there to breed with Ajs/bety. (Atas' daugther)

The ones you have listed under Prague i have been told live at Ustinad Labem Zoo and im not sure who the parents are for Kiara as the cub born 03 at Olomouc is Aja/bety.

I will edit my post earlier about Izzy's siblings.

Great stuff! Does anyone have any info on Helsinki & Tierpark? Nearly all the leopards we have traced on this page have originated from there or have/had relatives at these two facilities. They both seem very successful in breeding Amurs yet the websites aren't very informative..

I have also read this, but have also heard that he was sent away to be bred from.
Does anybody know if he did die?
