      Off with their heads!

This "zoo" appears to have more animal statues and mounted trophies than it does actual live animals (maybe a good thing?).

How is it as a zoo? It doesn't look much better than the "Capital of Texas Zoo" or Las Vegas Zoo dumps.

On its website this establishment claims to have more bronze animal statues than any other zoo in the world, and along with the museum the facility has some strange attractions. I visited once (in 2009) and yet again this is an example of a zoo that is not AZA-accredited and then also being fairly junky. The Capital of Texas Zoo and the Las Vegas Zoo are examples that you provided of other establishments that are perhaps accredited by other bodies (such as ZAA in the case of Cougar Mountain) but none of those places are acclaimed by anyone except their owners.:)

Interestingly enough Cougar Mountain has had the same map for years, and the upcoming exhibits for cheetahs, otters, lemurs and macaws have been either listed on the map or on the zoo's website. I wonder how many more years will elapse before there is any progress on the new additions?

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I like to see living animals in zoos.
