Interesting! The article talks that at least seven wild caught lions are kept in animal shelter in Ethiopia. They are apparently not breeding at present. They could start a valuable insurance population. Besides, there is a good case, as article says, to develop a safari tourism in Ethiopia. Currently tourists concentrate more on animals of highlands, while the place to see lions is Kenya and Tanzania. I hope this lion population can be saved - sadly, as West African and Central African lions are currently dying out.
