do you have any tips on taking a good photo of an animal on the move?

Both wolverines were extremely active and running around at great speed. They were moving so fast it was impossible to focus on them; consequently, I focused on an area where I thought they were likely to run past and waited for one to come into view.

Just as the wolverines became active it started to get rather misty so the light wasn’t very good; unfortunately, with the poor light and the wolverine moving at speed the picture is a bit blurred.

I find that when I go the wolverines are either no where to be seen or very active. Cool I will take that into account next time I am up at the zoo!

In my experience it depends on the time of day. Obviously it can vary from visit to visit but, as a general rule, I rarely (if ever) see the wolverines in the morning or early afternoon; yet, if I go past their enclosure after about 4:00pm, then they are almost always visible and normally running around energetically.
