The "forests" complex is very hit and miss. Tigers, red pandas/muntjacs, lemurs, and eagles have excellent exhibits. Gibbons/otters have a mediocre exhibit. Bears and bats have bad exhibits.
I like the layout and it would only take a little imagination lots more logs, mixed substrates sow with seeds of various grasses etc, to make this a good exhibit, scrap the water fall and start it from the second fall to give more depth to the exhibit, possibly cover it with cargo netting held up on tree trunks topped with metal plates or discs to prevent access by the bears to give dappled shade, job done
I agree Dean, it would be very easy to improve this enclosure enormously. What's the point of an orang utan megachurch when you can't provide your bears with decent accommodation?
