They seemed unable to contain the Goeldi's(?) on this little island so the two female Swamp Monkeys re-appeared instead. As they don't seem to be leaving anymore, at least at present, maybe they will be able to source a new male instead. It would be good for them to stay on as only representatives of the species within the UK.

It's a shame that they are the only representatives but where would they source a new male from? Would it have to be the USA?

And with regards to the Goeldi's, they seem to have taken the place of the Prevost's squirrels in Monkey Heights which in my opinion is a shame as the squirrels were a particularly attractive species.

The squirrels haven't been there for some time. The Goeldi's recently replaced Pied Tamarins after their short stay in the Swampy enclosure.

Not sure. There is something like 6 in the whole of Europe now, and possibly only about two of them are males. As the US still have a few more than that, maybe it would have to come from there- provide the females don't go there instead- as was planned.

I don't know the m/f ratio but there are 9 zoos in the USA and 4 in Europe that hold them.
