Is this a common otter or smooth-coated otter?

    Looks like a smooth-coated otter to me. The tail is too flattish for a common otter and the build is too heavy for that species

    I agree with DDCorvus. It is also much too small for an adult Lutra lutra and its muzzle is too short.

    Smooth-coated Otter or a large small-clawed otter, in relation to the other three. Yes, too chunky and the head is too round to be lutra. Are there any other photos of the group? Or even a video would be a plus! The feet on the otter in the first photo are interesting. (appears to show more typical otter claws)
