Yes, it is. The National Aviary has been posting updates on their facebook, and people have even been posting photos of him. He looks very stressed in the photos I’ve seen. :/

Unfortunately many of the people commenting on the local news posts have been pledging not to report sightings so that he can “fly free.” I fear this may be a case of the anti-cap movement actively endangering an animal and disregarding the impact a giant Russian eagle would have on the Pennsylvanian environment… if he knew how to hunt.

But that’s not my business. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Once again showing they don't know anything about animals. Most of them would rather see animals die from the elements, starvation, etc. than be in a captive environment where they get plenty of food, care, and enrichment.

October 3 - Kody has finally been caught! He was spotted in a residential driveway this afternoon and the aviary team was able to get to the site on time and safely net him. They report that he seems to be in good health, but is currently behind the scenes to decompress and get a good meal.

The National Aviary have hatched a Sunbittern. From their social media: "Meet the National Aviary’s newest Wetlands resident, a Sunbittern chick! The Wetlands habitat offers the perfect environment for birds to engage in natural behaviors like courting and nesting, and for chicks like this to fledge and thrive. Each and every bird that calls the National Aviary home is given high-quality individualized care."

Updates from the National Aviary. Recent hatchings from late 2021/2022 have included a Raggiana Bird-of-Paradise, a Victoria Crowned Pigeon and a Mariana Fruit-Dove. All from social media from the past six months.
