Koala Population in Europe

0:1 Inala at Edinburgh Zoo has moved zoos, but it has not been announced where.

 

Normally she should move to Planckendael. The move has been postponed for a while. There she will form a pair with Bouddi.

 

Given Ouwehands Dierenpark are due to open their new koala exhibit shortly, I'd hazard a guess she has ended up here - especially with Edinburgh being very tight-lipped about her new location as they are leaving up to the receiving to announce her arrival.

 

Edinburgh Zoo has confirmed in the comments to their Facebook post that she has moved to ZOO Planckendael.

 

A koala was born at Zoo Duisburg around October last year. The mother of the young is Gooni, the father is Tinaroo.

Ouwehands Dierenpark has announced which koalas are coming to the zoo from San Diego Zoo. They are males Ngarra and Arru and female Leumeah. They were all born in San Diego and are around three years old.

Alinga that lived in Planckendael and Antwerp:

Thank you. I knew that were two Alingas, but wasn't sure which one was at which Zoo. I knew Omaroo was the sire but wasn't sure who the Dam was.....

Omaroo was born at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and he was my most favorite koala ever so I like to keep track of his lineage...❤
