Four chicks hatched at Leicester Cathedral, unfortunately the last to hatch didn't survive and was eaten by one of the adults
Looks like there won't be a successful year at Winchester Cathedral. New female Mel (who it is assumed killed the previous long-term resident female Winnie earlier this year, before mating with the resident male William), scattered her eggs earlier in the week; they were placed back in the nest but Mel has now eaten them. Presumably they were non-viable. It is unlikely that she will lay again this season Cathedral's new peregrine eats remaining eggs - BBC News
