Lausanne for reptiles is absolute bullocks there are quite some regular zoos with more species, though they have a nice variety of venomous snake... I would nominate Tallinn for Caprines and TP Berlin is off course the takin capital
I think a lot of Nikola's post is just guessing at random. In this case, probably simply because Australia Zoo is well-known. I did a quick count-up and got Australia Zoo on 35 species and the Australian Reptile Park on 50.
If you count different subspecies as well, Tierpark Berlin beats them and Obterre in France has 16 species, and additionally multiple sika and red deer taxa as well. For Antelope (and African hoofstock in general) Dvur Kralove will be the number one. Zoo Berlin is number one for pigs & peccary with 2 peccary species and 5 different pig species. Zoo Dortmund will be number one for armadilloes and anteaters with 4 and 2 species respectively at least outside of S-America.
Just did a quick count; Tallinn does appear to have the title for Caprines with 14 taxa - however Tierpark Berlin is not far behind, with 13 taxa. If one counts both Berlin collections together, they have a total of 17 taxa. I really have to get to Tallinn sometime
For every Spiny mouse-fan Plzen Zoo is the place to be: 11 different taxa ( African, Arabian, Asian minor, Cairo, Black Nile, Jordan, Lower Egyptian, Mount Kulal, Pale golden, Palestina and Tibesti spiny mouse ) !
