I can't walk through a park without thinking about how I would make it a zoo. One of my favourites is Queens Park in Moonee Ponds and my ultimate is the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Now that is something I do all the time, eg see a few spreading trees and think what a great red panda enclosure that would make

You knew what a Honey Badger (Ratel) was before the viral video.

You know what 1.3.7 means when it appears after an animals name in a species list.

You know what a ratel is without even knowing what viral video has them in it. What is this video you speak of?

I feel the same way on my visits to Kew Gardens. There are sometimes big gaps between houses and I think a few animal exhibits could be introduced to broaden the appeal of visitors, especially as Kew Gardens isn't that cheap to visit, despite being subsidised by the Government

You sometimes catch yourself calling animals by their scientific name because you prefer the sound of it to their common name

You know more about what is going on in a Zoo than the friends living in that city.

You aren't connected with a Zoo in any way so can say what you think on here freely without fear of a reprimand.:(

. . .if you check the "Subscribed Threads" tab in between every thread you view and right after you've posted on a thread,

If you post over 450 times in less then a month.

If you have no social life, friends, or girlfriend/boyfriend.

If you know what an Arthropleura or Elasmotherium is.

If you don't know who Kenvin Garnett, Kobe Bryant, Tom Brady, or Derick Jeter is.

If the first thing you do when you go home is check your email for ZooChat replies.

If you think about animals every single day.

If you're replying to this post.:D

I know who all of those people are because I literally watch ESPN 24/7.
I am watching it right now!

You can metaphorically watch it 24/7 as I'm sure he actually meant, because he is certainly not ACTUALLY watching it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Most people I know sleep at least some of the time, therefore this is a metaphor, and the use of the word literally was quite improper. There's an entire generation of people who I would like to ban from using the word literally because they think it adds emphasis rather than clarifying between metaphor and reality.

I always remember one contestant on a game-show or reality show or some-such, saying that being eliminated from the competition "was literally a kick in the face" :D
