Entry Path - Matschie's Tree Kangaroo Exhibit

The entry section (with its winding pathway) actually reveals a number of the smaller exhibits at this "rainforest zoo". The tree kangaroo enclosure really only has a couple of perches for the creature and not much else, and the shoebill stork and fairy penguin exhibits are arguably the smallest of their kind to be found anywhere. Zoo nerds stroll through and tick off shoebill stork and fairy penguin on their lifetime lists (2 species barely found anywhere else in all of North America) but the exhibits are incredibly small and unsatisfying.

The bemboo poles that form the backside of the exhibit look out to the street, which is one floor down from here. Although it is not a busy downtown street, it has potential for being noisy from vehicles. The aquarium is built out to the maximum of its property!

I hate things like this, they may as well just have animatronic animals.
