      @Ebirah766 I thought maybe, but if it was, how would they get to it at the bottom of a water bottle like that? The whole bottle is there. It's not cut in half or anything.

      I've seen things not dissimilar to this used as improvised wasp traps.

      Basically you lure them in with a sweet and/or alcoholic liquid, most of them don't find their way back out and eventually drown in the liquid.
