Aalborg Zoo - African Village (Tropical House)
Part of the bigger of the two indoor exhibits for pygmy hippopotami (Choeropsis liberiensis liberiensis) inside the African Tropical House in The African Village in Aalborg Zoo. Free-ranging amongst the vegetation are livingstons turacos (Tauraco livingstonii) and eastern paradise whydahs (Vidua paradisaea). The African Village opened in 2006 and is the biggest project in Aalborg Zoos history. It features wildlife from the African savannahs and wetlands. July 2012
