Aalborg Zoo - African Village

The tropical house in the African Village in Aalborg Zoo, Denmark. The African Village is one of the best themes in any zoo I have seen. The tropical house is used as an indoor enclosure for pygmy hippopotamus and spurred tortoise. The hippoes can be viewed both above and under water. September 2006

      Probably the best Exhibit in Aalborg. I like it very much!
      When I visited this Zoo in August 2008 there also were catfishes inside of the pool and african birds like red-billed hornbills and purple glossy-starlings flying around in the house.
