Aalborg Zoo - Tiger exhibit (1)

The underwater viewing by the larger of the two outdoor exhibits for Sumatran tigers (Panthera tigris sumatrae) outside the Carnivore House in Aalborg Zoo. The outdoor tiger exhibits can be combined and feature grass, large rocks, logs, trees and a small and very large pool. The new Carnivore Exhibits opened in 2012, twice doubling the space the big cats have outside. The old house was maintained, expanding the visitor facilities and giving it an Asian theme. The old big cat indoor exhibits remained unchanged except for the old leopard indoor exhibit that was rebuilt to also house tigers. July 2012

These new exhibits are fairly naturalistic, and that is certainly a very deep pool for tigers. The underwater viewing windows are expansive, and I like the rocky backdrop to both the lion and tiger habitats. By the way Toddy, the 6-10 photos of each exhibit, all from multiple angles, reminds me of my own photos on ZooChat! You upload shots from little-known European zoos and I've done the same thing for American zoos.

As long as there aren't two photos of the same angle :p My process of finding the right pictures to upload and write good descriptions take a long time to do which is also why I don't upload that often. I still find myself incredibly annoyed with people who upload rows of repetitive photos with no descriptions (or sometimes even titles).
