I am surprised how many American zoos have white alligators and white pythons and white diamondbacks, even within the AZA. They condemn white tigers but seem to have no problem with white reptiles (which I assume are inbred for color the same way). Three of the seventeen zoos in my Southwest USA zoo book have white alligators, two of them AZA and one ZAA.

@Arizona Docent White alligators are not inbred, due to the difficulty of getting male and female albino gators in captivity. There are currently only about 30 albino American Alligators alive.
