Amelanistic and melanistic diamondbacks

Western diamondback rattlesnakes (Crotalus atrox). A side by side comparison of a black (melanistic) specimen and an off white (amelanistic) specimen. The black snake is displayed in a white cage and the white snake is displayed in a black cage.
