American Black Bear exhibit at the Los Angeles Zoo

This exhibit was not originally built for bears, but in the 90's the zoo needed an exhibit when the two current bears were found orphaned in the LA county. I think the exhibit works well because I've never seen the bears pace.

      What was it orginally for?

Honestly I'm not sure, but there is an exact exhibit in the North American Section of the zoo that has always had Bighorn Sheep, so maybe some type of wild goat/sheep species. This is in the Eurasian section of the zoo.
