As originally being the Reptile House, the building was built in 1937 and later renovated in 1951 to hold hundreds of thousands of birds from all over the world. Over 50 feathered creatures from the Arctic all the way down to the Antarctic are displayed in habitats as natural as the outdoors. Every exhibit gives a close-up opportunity of every species in the building as well as two walk-through atriums where the birds are free-ranging, along with underwater viewing of aquatic birds.

      Contains:
      -Black-winged Bishop
      -Blue-naped Mousebird
      -Buff-crested Buzzard
      -Hammerkop
      -Northern Carmine Bee-eater
      -Violet-backed Starling
      -Yellow Bishop

Sounds like a good mix of species.

Shouldn't "buff-crested buzzard" be "buff-crested bustard", as buzzard refers to some raptors and bustard to members of the family Otididae, which this bird is. I think the two words are pronounced the same, but do mean different things. Does the signage say buzzard?
