Asiatic lion : Cotswold WP : 29 Jul 2016

Finally announced on the Park's Facebook page today: Kali, Sita and Sonika - three cubs (9 weeks old in this photo) born to female Kanha and male Rana. In this photo, only two of the cubs are visible. The other one was separate when I visited -- I don't know the reason why. It was just the other side of the mesh, next to the lioness.

The male seems to have an unusually full mane for an Asian lion.

As I'm sure you know, it's probably because that's what captivity does to lions because of all the plentiful resources.
