Bristol used to have Magellan Geese on/around the Lake. I know all Sheldgeese species are pugnacious birds to a greater or lesser extent and remember they were very much dominant over the other Geese, and would sometimes run full tilt to drive them away. They were also very terrestrial, nibbling on the lawns most of the time. Some of them were full-winged and would sometimes fly a circuit above the Zoo-they looked great in the air like that.
Due to unseen circumstance with my health, I had to give up pretty much most of my animals and birds. I reduced my stock to 2 pairs of Mandarins, a pair of Hooded Merganser, a single golden eye,a single ringed teal, a pair of Nene, a pair of Red breasted geese and some different pheasant speices. But in the past, I used to have swans, geese, ducks and even small wader species.
