Monkey House, Frankfurt, 30th August 1973. Scanned from an Ektachrome slide.
I was lucky to see this very nice creature, which looked as if it had just woken up. I was luckier still to get a half decent photo, which has been improved by scanning.
A suitable Christmas present for TLD, I hope :)

Well, this was worth waiting for, what a stunning animal, look at those eyes designed by Disney.

It's only a little more than 42 years

I remember these at Frankfurt too. Beautiful markings, never seen the like before(or since).

Definitely deserving of a Lucky Bastard Award :p

Its not a problem to get these Award after visting Frankfurt Zoo in 1973....

      It is!
I've already admitted to being lucky. But my dear old mother, at 95 years of age, would be most upset by the b-word.

But it's one of TLD's favourite phrases - like 'this taxon' and 'will pass away during the harsh winter'.

It wouldn't be a TLD jealousy outburst without it.

I've only ever used the second phrase in one thread :p I suspect there are things I say a lot more often than that!
    • Maguari
Yes, but think how many times you used it in that thread! :p
