Blimey, what species of Muntjack is that?! Its got the longest pedicles I've ever seen.

Its the Indian Muntjac (M. muntjak). Possibly the Bornean subspecies (M. m pleicharicus)

I've seen Indian Muntjac, but not like that one. Is the Bornean race characterized by the extended pedicles? Judging by the picture (though never having seen an image of one before), I would have hazarded a guess at the Large-antlered Muntjac (M.vuquangensis).

It is very unlikely to be vuquangensis since it was only recently discovered and I believe none exist in captivity; this male is not particularly big either. To the best of my knowledge, this male came from a Malaysian zoo and was supposedly of the Bornean race, though this was never genetically verified. It could well be an individual occurance too.
