Bats? What species?

These guys would sleep in the palm tree outside of the house we rented in Tarcoles, Costa Rica. Do you know what kind they are?

They're probably great stripe-faced bats (Vampyrodes major), which have the broad muzzle as seen in the photo, and roost in small groups of two to four under palm fronds. White-lined fruit bats (Platyrrhinus spp) are similar and likewise roost under palm fronds but usually in larger groups (up to twenty, probably harems). Tent-making bats (Uroderma bilobatum) are similar to both as well but have naked tails (the others have hair-fringed tail membranes) and always roost under the leaves of bananas and heliconias, biting through the leaf along the midrib so that it folds downwards on either side forming a protective tent.
