      Why is this zoo not that known (I never heard of it before)?
      Is it because it's not that big?
      Some nice species (black footed ferret) can be found there apparently.

      Here is a quick blurb that I typed up last summer:

      Hutchinson Zoo is an AZA-accredited facility located in Hutchinson, Kansas, and it opened in 1986. There are approximately 100 species of 200 specimens on 9 acres, and an average of 50,000 annual visitors. It is a very small zoo essentially in the middle of farm country and there is not a fee to tour the grounds. Almost every single animal is native to the state of Kansas and in all of the signs there is a strong focus of informing guests about local wildlife.

      The small Reptile House has 44 species, thus almost half of the total in the entire 9-acre zoo.
