Boa Constrictor

November 7th, 2008. The Emperor Valley Zoo in Trinidad and Tobago had a mini-animal meet and greet set up at the University of the West Indies. There was a 2-year old mandrill, a prehensile-tailed porcupine, and then a number of snakes, iguanas turtles, caimans and macaws.

its a boa (Boa constrictor), native to Trinidad, rather than a python. Nice markings.

I was going to say it's a retic, beat me to it Stu.

Ash - you've had since last November to beat him, so I guess it was a close race!

OK I agree. I had thought it looked like the Trinidad subspecies of boa, but having now consulted internet sources I believe it must be a reticulated python. My bad.
