      Nice big cat aquarium....

Easily the weakest exhibit in Jungleworld, and in reality fishing cats or some other mammal would have been a better choice than the leopards.

The exhibit originally housed clouded leopards, who were almost never visible. Definitely the weak link in Jungle World, but the generous vertical space and natural substrate in this exhibit--plus the innovative "predator/prey" view of monkeys in the forest beyond--make it better than most leopard exhibits elsewhere.

I disagree, the leopards make better space of it than fishing cats as they can use several levels, the floor-space is no where big enough for fishing cats or any other large, ground-dwelling cats. I would suggest a small arboreal species, perhaps.

@reduakari commenting from far in the future. As anyone who sees this comment probably already knows, sometime around 2017-2018 the last black leopard (which I believe were of South Asian descent, though I'm not sure if their exact subspecies was known) passed away and an Amur leopard arrived to replace it. I think clouded leopards would make a lot more sense for the enclosure than Panthera pardus- does anyone have any idea why they phased the former species out?
