Bronx Zoo - Madagascar!

July 2008. There are a pair of Nile crocodiles in this exhibit, which has underwater viewing.

      According to the zoo there are Pinstripe Damba, Paretroplus dambabe, Paretroplus maculatus, and Marakely in here though I've yet to see the Marakely and that one might just be a result of the zoo's bad website. There's no barrier between the fishes and crocs and it doesn't seem like the crocs bother them.

      I've never seen the crocs harm the fish. The fish seem to stay out of the way of the crocs, and if the zoo is comfortable keeping them in there, then we should be too.

      Cichlids are often kept with African Dwarf Crocodiles, so I doubt there would be a problem with Nile Crocs.
