This was formerly a Laeopard Cage at the old Cardiff Zoo.

Reading that back it seems a bit snarky - wasn't intended as a dig but just to show that even I have limits.

Yes - but another British trait is unnecessary politeness - nothing a Brit likes more than being snarky then being terribly apologetic about it!

When and where was Cardiff zoo around? No one I know even knows it existed.

It is now the Welsh Hawking Centre. It was a full-blown zoo for many years to start with. Most of the animals were dispersed in the early 80s though the current owner kept some lions for several years afterwards.

Thanks for that, I'm surprised no one in my family had heard of it.
