Checkered Elephant Shrew

The only Checkered Elephant Shrew (Rhynchocyon cirnei) in European zoo. I think this one is male. During my visit (December 09) there was only this one in exhibit. Do you somebody know if and when any female will come? Absolutely fantastic animal. The whole time he was walking around the exhibit and looking for food, never stop for more than a three seconds.

Accorind to zootierliste, they've got 0.1, so it should be a female.

I've heared, they will get a second animal from a private breeder.
