wait what happened to the Golden Monkeys? o_O I swear news from the LA Zoos comes slower than if they were running down here to tell me it.

It was announced about a month ago (or less) that China will not be sending Golden Monkeys anymore.

According to what I've read in articles, the Chinese Government just decided not to give the LA Zoo the monkeys, but I have a feeling there is more to this story that was not mentioned.

well i would be very offended, first they said they could have pandas, then golden monkeys now langurs (rumor)

im shocked about the last time they had langurs

Well, I'm sure the Langurs will be coming from a zoo in the US, not China.

Hopefully Thank God! I wouldn't trust China's word on anything in the future as far as the L.A. Zoo is concerned. But don't be surprised if you see Golden Monkeys show up in San Diego in the near future. Just my intuition.:(

I wish you would be right with your inuition. But after the experiences LA-Zoo had with the chinese gouverment I must say: Only in your dreams...

Went to the la zoo last week and saw a digital sign that changed from francois' langur, to reeve's muntjac, and finally lady amherst's pheasant. I only saw the langurs, though.
