      Please tell me its not stuck in that box.. I mean on the list of species im most worried about a cricket is pretty low but this is just sad, not to mention terrible exhibition.

      The point here is to show the cricket as it is normally seen; it's still common at this time of year to see street-sellers with their backs covered in much smaller cages than this. They are kept for their singing.
      I agree this is not a good thing.

      @DelacoursLangur Yes basically, although I believe that there is some cultural element of good fortune being brought to the house or similar.
