Jaguar Enclosures Chester Zoo 25 May 1978

Several cages were built in 1967 to the south of the cat house, to house the jaguars which were thought unsuitable to be housed in the main cat house. They were demolished in 1985 to make way for the Axis Deer Enclosure.

      They were very small, and in 1984 the pair of presumed Asian Lions from Zurich were kept there.
