      Terrible shame what happened... :(

      Actually, Chester's Polar Bear enclosure doesn't look as bad as others in the UK at the time.

      Thanks, I have hundreds. I just need to figure out how to scan direct form the sildes to my PC. The ones posted are all prints made from slides.

      bloodycurtus, the site of the polar bear enclosure is now the Europe on the Edge aviary.

      Actually, it' s just the southern half. The northern half of Europe on the Edge was used for waterfowl.
