      I love these lizards!

      I saw them when they were being fed snails and it was impressive to see them catch them and crush the shells.

      However, I had to put up with people saying "these must be french lizards!"...

      The two at Chester are certainly different. I assume that like many lizards, the male is larger with a broader head and brighter colouration. On my last couple of visits I haven't seen the female: I don't know why.
