      That elephant has probably done it before...look at its body posture and technique. I heard that many hoofstock/large mammals like to eat roses.

      I have an eleven year old dog who loves to eat rose hips, the other one likes to eat rose petals. :)

      This posture has always horrified me, remembering incidents of elephants falling into moats in days gone by.

      Including at Chester, but this photo is too late to be Jumbolino, who paid the ultimate price for his fall. Thankfully the moat is long gone and the paddock is completely different now.
