Plains Viscacha, Chester 1974

Small Mammal House, 17th April 1974 Chester kept a group of viscacha for several years and I think they bred once or twice. I thought they were very interesting animals - much larger than most burrowing rodents.

      Alan, do you have any pictures of the Cassowaries at London zoo (Single wattled and Bennett's)?

      Nice picture by the way! These are very nice animals; I've only seen a large group in Zurich zoo.
