TARONGA-Moore Park Aviary

this photo is taken from the steps leading towards the aquarium. the aviary now contains animals. for the second time in my whole 22 years of life. species are....mandarin ducks, peafowl and shrew and squirrel. at some point birds of the heath were going in there, but this selection better reflects the heritage of the aviary i feel-ornamental and species with a long history at the zoo. the refurbishment of this aviary makes me wish the same sensitivity could be applied to other heritage and currently degenrate strucutres within this area, such as the new guinea aviary, monkey pit and gibbon pond
