      geeze with that much space given to water, anyone would think they were totally aquatic.....hmmm

      haha Patrick. get to taronga and see it for yourself, lol, though I tend to agree that in this particular exhibit the land area isnt massive, though there is more room than this photo of the middle corner would suggest. Happily this is the smaller of the two exhibits which do combine to give a satisfactory land area for the tapir. interesting that 3 years after WA opened still no mixed otter/tapir exhibit

      Have the malayan tapirs and otters ever been mixed at Taronga? Also, are the tapirs still going to be included in the collection or have the eye problems resulted in a phasing out process of the species?

      I do remember Adelaide mixed otters with dusky langurs and tapirs but they aren't anymore. I am not sure if Taronga is.

      When I went I was really surprised at how little land area there was.

      Doesn't this exhibit wrap around to near the binturongs are? I thought this was a nice exhibit when I went.
