      Yes, they are still present with their offspring as well. If you're in early you can often hear them calling. There have been reports of people at the neighbouring Holiday Inn complaining of the noise at 6 in the morning during the summer!

      Don't know if they are pure, I assume so but I'm sure Malachi can confirm one way or the other.

      ISIS lists them as having 2.1 pure Nomascus gabriellae and one hybrid.

      The youngest was born early in 2008.

      The zoo website really does provide loads of information about the animals! I would therefore assume that the hybrid is the younger female who is probably on some kind of contraception to ensure they only breed the genetically 100% right gibbons!
