White lipped deer at Edinburgh zoo

      Are they somewhere near the top of the Hill?

      I can see they've worn a path along the perimeter fence.

      They are kept in one of the hilltop fields.

      This photo was taken when there was 1.2 animals in the paddock, now the group has been enlarged considerably to 15 animals.

      They are very curious looking Deer, their ears look too big for their heads.

      Do they have a wallow or waterhole area?

      I don't think so. I maybe wrong.:confused:

      The only reason I ask iss because the only place I've seen this species before -in Rotterdam- there was a big area of water in the enclosure and a young calf was running back and forth in it. I don't know if they are marsh-dwelling in the wild- possibly not.
