Blind Cave Fish Tank

One of the last things I expected to see at Howletts, was sent scouring one of the shops for ice cream and found this at the entrance to the 'Jurassic Mine' section. 28th June 2010.

Ha - never knew this was there. As you say, not very Howletts - it's not a mammal, for a start!

EDIT: In all seriousness - Blue Peafowl, Burmese Python, Blind Cave Fish is the entire non-mammmal collection, isn't it? Very odd.

Pretty much. :/ Then again I didn't actually go into the Jurassic Mine, could be a whole reptile house in there, maybe even a few raptors. ;)

There's also the guineafowl in the Asian Deer Reserve I believe. I think I saw a few on my visit, however due to the size of the paddock they were nothing more than small blobs in the distance if thats what they were.
