Splendid composition of two magnificent animals.I have been denied the opportunity to see these animals in real life so far due to all the collections I have visited being obsessed by oryx, bongo & co.Today´s zoo visitor will have seen many bongo, but possibly will never have seen a Thomson´s Gazelle.
In the UK, these are one of the most common antelopes in zoos (only Blackbuck and Bongo are as common, I'd say). Very nice animals; I understand the UK/Europe population is not in the greatest genetic health but I also believe that the recommendation at the moment is to breed them again - Chester have just brought in a new male for their previously all-female herd.
