      Is it common for Hartmanns zebras to have the 'wattle' on the neck, is it a sexually dimorphic thing or is it a species trait?

      It's a species trait seen in all Mountain Zebras.

      Another familiar trait is the 'ears back' stance- they are somewhat antisocial creatures.

      I've heard they're quite unsociable creatures, I know Paignton and Marwell have had trouble with males being aggressive to other animals in a mixed species enclosure.
