These two have been companions for some time now and appear to be firm friends

Aren´t goats amazing? They are the public relations specialists, psychologists & entertainment industry stars of the animal world. We have all heard stories of highly-strung racehorses who were inseparable from their goat stable-mates.They have a great calming effect on nervous animals & giraffes are famously nervy. They can be mixed in with most hoofstock and all get on famously - this is a great trick for zoos which detect a need to calm their stock.A similar trick, although involving separate enclosures, is to have bactrian camels in view.Hoofstock enclosures with a good view of bactrian camel enclosures are a great place for nervous animals. They see how the camels don´t give a toss about anything, basically, and they begin to take the example.Great zoos have always been very sensitive about how they locate stock with respect to other species & this definitely pays off.It could hardly be otherwise.
