Old Building Revealed (#2 of 3) 7 March 2012

The vegetation behind the Echidna and Red Panda enclosures has been cut back revealing this old building, which is attached to the cottage aviary. Does anyone know what used to live here?

      This was part of the Chough aviaries that run down the hill behind the cottage aviary. Years & years ago the top of the hill and I think the reptile nursery were home to Macaques. Would be interesting to see what they are up to?

      I put some details from old guidebooks on the #1 thread - regarding the Macaques, in 1959 these were Rhesus Monkeys and in the early to mid 1970s Barbary "Apes".
